Serving the San Francisco Bay Area For Over 35 Years
I am originally from Sydney, Australia where I received my Bachelor of Law from University of Sydney. I then studied at McGill University in Canada receiving a Masters of Law in international business and anti-trust law.
I was admitted to practice in California in 1977 and in New York in 1982. I have been zealously representing and advocating on behalf of clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area for over 35 years. I have also taught various courses of law at Sydney University Law School and Hastings College of Advocacy. Additionally, I’ve acted as a judge pro-tem in California Superior Court.
After heading the litigation department of a large law firm with offices in San Francisco and San Jose, I decided to start my own smaller firm so that I could deliver a more personalized service to clients from beginning to end at a lower cost. My approach to business litigation, which is essentially a dispute about money or property, is both practical and determined. I always try to keep the end in sight and keep the client fully informed.
Once committed to a course of action, I do not give up. If the adversary is a large corporation or a large law firm, this only makes the case more interesting and challenging. I have successfully represented individuals and corporations against mega-corporations such as Sony and a foreign government. I have also represented clients in simple contract disputes.
I am admitted to practice in all California state courts, all of the federal district courts in California, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. I am a limited partner in the firm of Hennefer, Finley Wood, LLP.
I am committed to providing zealous and responsible representation to my clients at competitive rates. Contact me today to talk about your case.
